True, but I graduated from the boy scout level of outdoorsmanship a long time ago.

Speaking of which, we need to go camping. Our nearly camping experience for cheyne's bachelor party demonstrated that we have the interest, it's a matter of actually making it happen.

While I am saying this from another country, I do come to OKC for weeks at a time, and doing any activities while I am there is double plus good.

ok like seriously, at the absolute next possibility we need to go to a campsite that we can get away with the following at:

bring loincloths (and female equivalents, if necessary) body paint, and several bongos, and then dance around a huge (3 to 4 foot tall flame) bonfire and jump through it, all while insanely drunk on either caribbean rum or another appropriately themed beverage.

For those interested I am going to have an all day hiking trip when I next visit (march 15-22) It will be in lawton at the natural reserve. its about a 6-8 hours round tripper.

Hey, we have a huge ass public park here. They have places for all those cool outdoor activities. You can build bon fires, get drunk, go fishing, and hunt even in that order. They have hundreds of miles of trails, old ruins, and other safety hazards for me to climb on, plus actual camp grounds and stuff. Feel free to come out here and visit us...really we won't mind...please!!!

I like hiking. Love swimming. & I have a commited relationship with indoor plumbing. I'm okay with camping provided that said plumbing is within a reasnoble distance.

We should set up a day to go hiking somewhere, and/or camping and being outdoorsy. Like, real plans, not "someday maybe possibly".

Memorial day weekend (yes this one) drive to lawton and bring snacks so you can do the 8 miler with a lake and woods and stuff (you can map quest it) you should all go.

I went to the park last seek on my day off. Im doing again as soon as I get up today. I went to the lake last time, and am going to Martin Nature Park this time. I enjoy the outdoors, and will be starting to do this more often, as summer sets in.

hopefully we can start going out and doing outdoorsy stuff now that it's warm again. we did stuff on the weekends last summer, and it was fun. had some picnics, threw frisbees, etc.

Well I work most weekends, so Im just doing it when I can.

I am planning to make at least one (and probably several) trips to hike this coming fall. (Assuming it doesn't rain every other day all year round). One trip I really want to make is to the wichita mountains in the lawton area. I'll post more as it gets closer to go time, but if people are interested they are welcome to come.
