John (Johnny) Marlin

Hair: Straight, Very Dark Brown

John Marlin is a good-looking guy in the "pretty boy" vein. He seems fairly easy-going and has a self-assured and almost graceful air about him.

Marlin wrote for the New-York Evening Post for a number of years. During the war, the publication suffered from allegations of pro-German sympathies; this lead to a decrease in circulation and eventually to the sale of the paper in 1918. Dissatisfied with the new management, Marlin left the company within a year to seek out other options. Characters who habitually read that particular paper may or may not recognize the name as a regular contributor.

Oliver Cole, MD
Apparent age: early-to-mid 70's
Clan: Salubri
Covenant: Ordo Dracul

Dr. Oliver Cole, or simply Oliver to most Kindred, is a veteran of the American Civil War, during which he served in the Union Army as a medic. Though he was a youth during his stint in the Union Army, Oliver is an old man now, some five and a half decades after the end of the conflict. His hair has gone to white, and he is covered in the wrinkles of age. He has a kind but firm demeanor born from decades of dealing with difficult patients. One of the few blessings of the Embrace, Oliver will admit, is that his hands no longer shake as they once did.

Elizabeth Avery

Early to mid 20's
House wife

Elizabeth is sickly and spends most of her time at home. She was in a terrible accident that leaves her weak in appearance, and to all onlookers mostly bedridden. A devout christian woman, she can normally be seen wearing a crucifix about her neck. As she does not get out much, she relies on her customers to bring things to her. She is a small time seamstress, but very good at her work. She is growing a reputation for being able to fix just about anything. It is just a pity about that accident...

Michael Valentine

Michael Valentine grew up on the mean streets of New York. He started work, selling papers at a young age, and learned to make his own way. His father was an abusive alcoholic, and his mother was too sickly to take care of him. As he grew up he learned life the hard way, and eventually found himself street-fighting to make a living. Later he also began working on automobiles, and doing odd jobs to make ends meet.

He is surprisingly charming, and witty once you look beneath the rough exterior. Most people simply assume he is another street tough. However, his extended life, and immortal body have given him a doorway to something greater. He plans to make the most of it.

Ammutt Moralt

Build: Athletic with broad shoulders and long torso.
Hair color: Dark brown

Clan: Tsemese.
Covenant: Circle of the Crone.

Ammutt is a soft spoken but fairly kind individual. She is hardworking but carries a bitter aversion to trusting others.


Ammutt was adopted by a family in London who later moved to the United States during the economic boom that the war carried. The new technology and resources available made many work opportunities for the inventor and the historian who raised her until the 17th year of her life.

Following her parents move back to London (right after the war ended); Ammutt gained a career designing movie posters for the up and coming cinemas back in the United States and
relocated to southern New York. She has also recently taken up inventing like her father- inspired by the cinema props she was often asked to maintain in both motion picture production and theatrical performances.

She makes almost no money but has made an agreement with the owner of a run down cinema for room and board in exchange for playing caretaker to the building. Unlike many women of her age- she cares little for the victory of women's rights and tends to keep to herself.

Keitha (Kai-tah) Vale

Ethnicity: third generation Irish immigrant

Build: small and slight
Hair: something between brown and blonde, with hints of auburn

Covenant: Circle of the Crone

Keitha, despite her gaelic name, knows little of the language. She became estranged from her parents during her early teens, and left to wander the country. She returned, briefly, (they lived in St. Louis, Missouri) when she was around twenty six (year 1897), and caught the eye of a passing ravnos. He turned her soon after, as she was leaving her parents' house permanently, but left before she regained her senses. She has been wandering the country ever since, and finds solace from her loneliness in books.

Trevor Parker
Apparent Age: late 20's early 30's
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Clan: Ravnos
Covenant: Ordo Dracul

Trevor is a charming southern gentleman who appears to just want to make the most out of his unlife. Very little is known about him, except that he went to India as a mortal to learn the ways of the enlightened mortals and, as he claims it, was embraced by a Brahmin. While in India he met a young Indian girl who had also been embraced. He took to looking after her when they both came to America together.

Marrion "Marek" Johnson (he's never actually told anyone his first name is actually Marrion)

Marek is originally from rancher stock which is apparent by his large stature, rough hands, and more rural nature. He is very reserved by nature and really only seems to talk to people that could be considered his social or physical equals. When ever asked about aspiration or reasons for continued unlife he usually responds with "We are what we were made for and have been made into."
